I have a gang...yes a gang. We are retired of course but every once in a while we gather together and have snacks and watch our children play. We are no longer the tough talking, fight picking, young ladies we once were. You may wonder what our gangs name is or was, well we were known as THE LGC. It stands for...get ready...The Little Girl Club. Tough right? We sounded so threatening. I mean, I know I would have been scared out of my mind if I wasn't already a part of the "gang".

Well this past week we gathered as moms and showed off our babies, ate delish granola and pull a part cinnamon bread. We walked down to a cozy little park and then got rained on. We talked about the old days and made fun of the present days. We joked about the poor boys we hung out with and about our upcoming 10 year reunion...barf! I look no older than 16 I swear! Ok ok, maybe no older than 22? It's a bit depressing to know that the 10 years have past so quickly. I still love my friends like I did when we first met in jr. high in the halls of Dixon to the halls of Provo High and our gang was formed. Let's hope our little boys and girls form a bond/gang with each other!

Ok, really nothing too exciting to post, but several pictures over the past 2 months or so. I have been told that I needed to update and frankly I find those people slightly pushy for their own good! You know who you are!

So I will post a few pics of the boys and stuff! They are growing like those awful weeds we get out here on the prarie....you know the ones that roots are so long that it's a never ending fight to get them out of the ground? Well, that's the boys...eating...growing....eating....fighting....eating....crying.....talking way too much....eating. Catch my drift?

So here they are in all their glory or gory...whichever way you would like to look at it! Gotta love em'.

Boredom hits around 3 o'clock here at my house while we impatiently wait for Jaren to arrive home! We sit around, wrestle (which turns violent at times), eat, have many sippies, dance to pop music of moment. We really have nothing better to do.

But as soon as daddy comes home everyone is semi-cranky/semi-happy, hungry for dinner, filled their diapers with most delish smelling items, soaked with drool, and of course exhausted. I bet you thought I was going to say everyone is extremely happy. Well, wouldn't that be lying? I mean come on!

Well, I was looking at the entertainment section of yahoo and happen to see this picture of Robert Pattinson and I couldn't help but think, he actually is a good looking guy. Now, no I'm not a huge fan (although love him a Diggory!) Maybe now I can see what all the little girls are talking about...and in the way of Stephenie Meyer, you may "swoon".

Ok, we met with the Heders while in California and they have the cutest girls on both sides! Unfortunately the picture I have of Daniel and Sarah's oldest Josey was blurry.

The cute one in pink is Evan, daughter of Jon and Kirsten.

The other cutie is Tallula (spelling I am sorry), daughter of Daniel and Sarah.

They were such sweet little girls and played well with my little stinkers! Thanks Heders for having our wild family over for some pizza and explosive root beer! Until we meet again!

Next week we're heading to my favorite place in the west Southern California. We are taking the boys on a surprise trip to Disneyland and the beach and to see old Fowler friends. I have so many protectors here at home, so many I feel safe all the time! Although at times the webbing makes a mess and climbing the walls can be a danger to us below. I am lucky to have 3 Spidermans here at home. I don't need to watch those cheesy Tobey McGuire movies! I have the real deal in three different bodies! Jealous? I'm sure you are, but they are willing to fight crime in all areas! But you better have treats and a bottle for them in the end, the get tired!

Sundance 2009

So I voluntered up at the Sundance Film Festival this year (my second time). It was as it was in the past simply wonderful! I did have one annoying co-worker up there DUC PHAM! Anywho, on with my weekend of fun!

On Friday I was lucky enough to be working at a theater that had some greats come through! Let me tell you, the talent (stars, celebrities, divas) was as big and kind as you can get. I was lucky enough to meet almost each one that came through and not one treated me or anyone else badly.

Saturday, well that day was just as great.....met one of the cutest young actors out there! When I say cutest, I mean sweet, talented, and humble.

Sunday ( I know) was just as good!

Monday saw a very funny movie and can't wait till it hits the big theaters. Love Bill Hader! Greg Motolla is a great producer of the perfect teen/young adult angst movies of this era (think the of the greats from the 80's). The Q & A was just as fun. Oh and those of you who are Twilight fans...Kristen Stewart is just a pretty as she is in pictures and just as awkward!

So I posted some pictures of those whom I was lucky enough to have a close encounter...although I did not meet Kristen in person!

We trimmed, decorated, tinseled the heck out of our tree this weekend. We let the boys do the decorating. Last night we decided to carve our large pumpkins purchased at our lovely Smith's. Rory had been begging to do so for 3 days. So we lay down a tarp and start cleaning out their guts. Rory hates to be dirty and disapeared upstairs only to return 10 minutes later with clean hands and he pj's on. He did this so he didn't have to help anymore. Sam was very helpful of course. By the end of it his diaper was orange and it looked as though he had explosive diarrea. In the end daddy finished the carvings for the boys, while I roasted the pumkin seeds.
All in all a good time!

Ok, so remember how I said my newest babe Eli looked like a turtle (well he still has a hint of a turtle look) but he has started to grow into his cuteness. I must confess the first month I find all babies unattractive and I swear the look like either Voldermort in the Goblet of Fire before he gets a body or maybe Brad Pitts character in that new movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button where he is an old man in a babys body. Anyhoo, I'm so glad that part doesn't last long. Because I think Eli is just so cute! Look at those little dimples he has too!

Antelope Island

I have lived here in Utah for a while now and had yet to ever venture out to Antelope Island. Have you been there? Not much to see, but pretty all the same. It was cold and snowy today and so Jaren thought what the hay lets go for a Sunday drive. So we packed up the boys and headed out. We had a nice drive, except for Rory wanting to go to Nanas house, Sam screaming I WANT DOWN, and ELi crying for a bottle. The joy of quiet drives with little ones!

Because I just had a baby a month ago and I have lost all but 3lbs of that horrible baby weight! Now you may say...oh you're bragging. And YES I am! So we...okay I thought it would be a good idea to take a nice drive up into the mountains and around the Alpine Loop on Sunday. So did everyone else in the state of Utah. It of course was beautiful with the changing of colors, but over crowded and slightly dangerous since the road is way too narrow for our large beast of a car. But I did get a few snaps in.

This movie has to be one of my favorite movies from my high school years. It had some classic lines that are hilarious. I remember we as girls use to sit and watch this movie and pick out who was who that we went to high school with that fit the characters in the movies. Katie (Clark) Hydrick was the Jennifer Love Hewitt character and Brad Hagen was the Seth Green character. I remember those two so clearly. It's out now for it's 10th anniversary...I'm going to buy it. Good times!

Etiquette Dinner 95'

The year was 95' and I was much younger than I am now...the place Grandview Stake Center....the gathering Grandview 2nd Ward Annual Young Men/Women Etiquette Dinner...my date a white teddy bear. I was suppose to have a "person" as a date where we learn manners and how to be ladies and gentlemen. The boys had to pull the names out a of hat I believe and pick their dates and they "fixed" the dinner. They were to pick us up the night of the dinner and we were to be dressed in church attire. I found out my date did not like the idea of me being his date for some reason. Maybe it was my striking beauty and that intimidated him. I mean come on look at me in that picture. GORGEOUS! So there I sit at the table with those who have dates like a muffler scraping the road, who know instead of a 3rd wheel. I found out who stood me up...DEREK BELL! Oh yes Derek I remember this night! That night he forever went by the nickname "UGLY" and till this day I forget his name just because we girls called him Ugly so much that I truly believed that was his name! He answered to his nickname with a slight bit of hate in his eyes, but he also liked that girls were paying him any attention.

That's my story for the day! Now enjoy the outfits we are all wearing! So hot!

I truly believe when each baby is born the look like something other than a baby. For example...Rory looked like an alien...Sam looked just and I swear it's true he looked just like a baby sloth. I couldn't get passed it! Well, I like to tell you that I thought Eli looked (with the first picture above as an example) like a TURTLE (made the pics green for effect). But not just any turtle but Squirt from Finding Nemo. Some faces he makes looks just him.

People...moms for sure are always wanting to believe that their babies are the cutest ever to born. I like to take a minute to tell you it's not true! I never see my babies and think right away oh he's the cutest ever...I look at them and say oh my word he looks just like this or that. I am lucky enough to not have the pointy headed newborns, but I'm sure that would add to the animal-like appearence they all ready have!

Why can't they have that same sweet face while they are awake beating each other up and running like soldiers at war with each other?

Cousins

This here are cousins....born the same day....3 hours apart. Dacia (Jarens' lil' sis) went in at 2:15 am Sept. 4th ready for a long labor....I went in at 11:30 am ready for a short c-section. Eli was born at 2:02 pm and Keizer was born at 5:02. It was fun to be able to check up on here during the process and sharing the same doctor too! It was a fun experience to have with someone so close!

I honor of Nie Nie Day I thought I would share just little stories of growing up a friend of Stephanie.

I have known Steph since were we at the horrible age of 12 and I first moved to Provo. I never truly became friends with the freckled face girl till the tender age of 16. I admired her style and how she was always ready to have fun. He quiet sense of humor would get us laughing. I will always remember the the burning of our bras and running around in the buff around the fire up at the Clark Cabins. She was of course the first to throw hers in! I will cherish those moments of our friendship that only became stronger through our emails and talking about our blogs and children, cards swapped with pictures of our families during the holidays and births of the newest additions.

Stephanie has touched so many and with a day to celebrate her and Christian how can you not stop and smile?

I will of course continue sending her pictures of my family, with the newest addition coming in a week. It hope to help decorate her lovely hospital room with pictures of my goofy family!

This Saturday there is a balloon launch party at Kiwanis Park in Provo. 6:00 pm, and you are invited!Stephanie and Christian have a tradition in their family where, at family parties, birthdays, or other special occasions, they write inspriational things on a piece of paper, tie them to balloons, and let them go. We want a giant launch at 6 pm - so bring your balloons and messages. Steph and Christian would love it.There will also be some food, and we're working on entertainment. If you are entertaining, let me know. You probably are. And please don't write and tell me that letting balloons off isn't environmentally conscious, because I may have to punch you in the throat. You seriously don't want that.Even if you don't know Stephanie and Christian, PLEASE COME. They would love it, and I would love to see you.

I got an email today from a friend Katie Hydrick about her fun cousin whose blog I love....here is the email

Hi Friends-
I just wanted to give you some scary, sad news about my cousin Stephanie. She and Christian were in a plane crash Yesterday-They are okay which is amazing, but they are both in the hospital and I think they could use our prayers. I don't know all the details yet, but this is what I do know. They were in a small plane, just the two of them and a flight instructor and the engine shut off just after take off. Neither of them broke bones amazingly, but they both got burned pretty bad-mostly 2nd degree-which again is better than it could be, but still pretty severe. They are sedated and unconscious. The outlook is good so far, and their kids were not with them, so that is good. I will give you more info if I get it, but I wanted to let you know and ask you to keep them in your prayers. ThanksKatie

So if you could all remember to please put them in your prayers tonight I would appreciate it! Christian just recently certified and is a plane enthusiast. Those small planes are so scary! They have 4 kids who they love very much and I'm sure the little ones are very scared and are in need of extra prayers.

When the 'mallows flaming... you stick it on the chocolate. Then cover with the other end. Then you scarf. Kind of messy, but good!

How can you go wrong with a delish smore on a warm summer evening? The paragraph above is from one of the best movies The Sandlot. We enjoyed a night by our little fire roasting

'mallows and scarfing them down. Plus the sunset was so pretty above the houses. Hard to resist not sitting out on a blankie and enjoying it.

Garden Party

Here are some pictures of the garden my parents have been working on over the past couple of months! There are green beans, beets, squash, zucchini, tomato's of all kinds and some random items here and there. We had some delish green beans on Saturday that were very tasty indeed and I plan on a stir fry with the zucchini this week or maybe some fresh bread.

This man was out Tuesday for work chasing the bad guy and getting cut up in the process, but he got the guy in the end!

The cut may look little, but when seen in person you'll notice the bit of swelling and redness that is there. Plus it's in the crease of the hand...OUCH!

Backyard Fun

The other day it was overcast and humid....a perfect afternoon to be outside. So we took to the backyard and enjoyed the cooler air and the little sprinkles that were coming down. The boys were running, jumping, climbing, and swinging. It was a good time had by all!.

6 Weeks and Counting

I am looking forward to the Sept. 3rd because this pregnancy will be over and I will have 3 little boys in my life. I have 6 long weeks left and they seriously are the longest weeks of the pregnancy. It's where you all of a sudden gain more weight which I find is quite rude! Where my belly expands to look like I am smuggling a basketball under my shirts. Where my memory almost completely goes to the point that I forget what I did the night before sometimes. It's the nesting phase, the preparation phase, the anticipation phase.

It's just 6 weeks and counting............

I love my husband to pieces! Cheesy? Yes, but so true. He works hard to provide for our family and I can't thank him more. He's the craziest person I know. He has the sweetest and biggest heart and is always there when I need him. He spends his days off with us and it means more to me and the boys than he'll ever know.

Friday Fishing Place #2 A Meadow

The second place we stopped at was just as beautiful as the first. It was a meadow that had a little creek flowing through it. I believe Rory "caught" the biggest fish of the day there. Although it was getting a little too late in the day for the fish to bite we'd get a little bite here and there. Worth it just to enjoy the mountain air and the warm sun. I did get a mosquito bite on my head though! Stinks!

Fishing Friday Place #1 Provo River Waterfalls

Friday we took to the Uintas with Grumpa Fowler for a day of fishing. The first stop was at the Provo River Waterfalls....it was beautiful and quiet. We covered ourselves in bug repellent and walked over to the rock. With Grumps help Rory reeled in the first fish of the day and he continued to do so throughout the rest of the fishing adventure. I caught a itty bitty one which was tossed right back in to grow. Jaren caught three that we were able to bring home for a

fry the following day at Grumps and Grandmas. Jaren did catch the smallest ones too! He wasn't too happy with those. Sammy enjoyed the time licking dirt off rocks before tossing them into the water.

Just wanted to say thanks to all the birthday wishes I received yesterday! Thanks for thinking of me and that's all I needed! Our Luck?

While out enjoying our 4th on Friday our fridge died. We don't know when or why, but we're sure it's because we are what you consider the luckiest people in the world. So when I wen to ge a popcicle out for the boys in the late morning on Saturday is was then I found that we had warm and melted food. We got depressed...angry....and then dusted ourselves off and purchased a nice new black one. I didn't like the stainless steel one anyway...my boys hand prints were everywhere and it was always having to be shined up.

All out War

Our firework festivities every years starts off with a tank war. It's between my Pops and brother-in-law Mark (Scooter). This year it went to a whole new level. Not only was the war long and violent there were no survivors. Everyone including the helicopters went up in flames as you can see in the final picture. It was a sad war, but everyone fought unfairly. There were no winners and no white flags! To those who died to open our fireworks show....you will be missed! Until next year!

Tomorrow I will turning the lovely age of 27.....I still can't believe how fast I am aging! I remember just turning 14 and entering high school...then turning 16 and starting to drive and date.....turning 18 and all my great friends taking me to the Olive Garden......Turning 20 and then moving to China with my new husband.....and now turning 27....3 more years and I'll be the big 3-0! I'm not worried I now I am just as beatiful as I was when I was 14! HA HA HA!!!!!
Here's to a fun birthday with my boys and a sweet little date tomorrow night with my honey!

7 Years Later....

No pictures, but an update on my weekend. Jaren and I were able to celebrate our 7th anniversary all alone and overnight too. We enjoyed every moment together as my mom stayed at our house to watch our boys. She was kind to take on the task that is SAM. She fared well! We stayed the night up at the Canyons Resort and shopped! It was quiet and weird. It was only the second time we have celebrated our anniversary. We of course celebrated our 1st one. We aren't too big on celebrating holidays that have to deal with us. But it was so much fun to be with the one I love. I will post pictures in the next day or so of us each year of marriage and how we have AGED!!!

Today I will be taking care of my sick little Rory, who BARFED himself silly all night and so far all morning long. He also has stuff coming out the other end. My mom is sweet enough to make her way out her to help m e out with the little devil known as SAM. Rory is more upset with the fact that he will be missing school today and he only has today and Thursday left till summer break, that and he can't go swimming today.

Our Saturday

Our Saturday consisted of me taking the boys up to my sisters for a afternoon of swimming in her pool. It was a perfect day for it and the pool was the perfect temp....warm! The boys were totally exhausted that night and today are up for some more swimming. While we swam her dogs Happy & Lucky would jump in to cool off or sit and bark at me to throw their toy for them. All in all it was a nice afternoon, even with my bloated white pregnant self floating around.

Mother's Day

Hope all you moms had a great day yesterday or even weekend. It was a busy weekend for me....shopping on Saturday morning with my mom and sister Heather....then Saturday night surprising my mom-in-law (MA) with the other Utah kids with a fun little dinner out. Then yesterday I was so lucky. Why? Sam slept in till 11:30 am....what? I know! That wasn't even half of it...we took a trip down to visit NANA (my mom) to take her her little prize and Sam took a 2 hour nap.....then when we got home he was ready to go to bed at 9:30 (bedtime usually 8:30). So it was a great present that was well received by me! I had a fun afternoon down at the parents house and a yummy little BBQ too. I of course had to take pics of the whole reason why I get to celebrate Mother's Day...and here they are.

Jaren took me to a nice dinner on Friday, where we of course people watched and made fun of not only ourselves but those around us. We then walked the large amount of food off before heading home to pick up the boys from Grandma and Grandpas. He bought me a lovely bunch of flowers and a card that sings Sh-Boom a favorite oldie around our house. It was a great mother's day and I am lucky enough to celebrate it every year!
